The coastal areas on the islands in the Outer Hebrides are rich in wild flowers. These fertile meadows are called the machair. Here is a fine specimen of a hebridean orchid on the Isle of Barra. Map

Here we see the National Exhibition Center or 'The Armadillo', and an old Glasgow dockland crane. Flanking the shot are two of Glasgow's newest bridges over the Clyde. Map
